the Iq' ra camp

Last week, I went for an Iq'ra camp at Masjid Kampung Siglap at Marina parade. It was actually quite boring . I went to that camp with my brother, Khairul and my cousins , Azfar and Hambali.
We were split into different groups. There were 5 groups altogether. I was in group 4. Khairul and Azfar were in group 5 and hambali was in group 2. It wasn't fair that Khairul got to be with Azfar.
There were many activities, boring ones. There was the al-Quran amazing race , al-Quran idol and much more. We had to sleep in a classroom. We had to sleep on the hard floor at night. At least it is air conditioned and I, Khairul and Hambali brought sleeping bags. Azfar didn't bring his sleeping bag.
During the last day, we had to fill a form to say what did I think of the camp. I wrote thing like my father forced me to and 10% fun and 98% boring.

Interesting accounts for lads of your age! I agree with you totally on how these camps or outings could be boring. Until now I just do not understand as to why anything related to Islam must be done in a slipshod manner. Why can't it be organised to be more lively, comfortable and interesting. Is Islam really promoting such?
